Privacy Policy
Effective / last updated: 24 August 2026
1. Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account, Firebase Authentication provides us with an account identifier and, depending on your sign-in method, your email address, display name and authentication provider. We do not receive your Google password.
Study and account activity. We may store completed-question progress, streak information, reward-claim history, saved preferences and other account activity needed to synchronize revision features and keep the service working consistently across devices.
Technical information. Our hosting, authentication and advertising providers may process information such as IP address, browser/device information, request logs, cookies or similar identifiers as part of operating, securing and funding the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; synchronize revision progress; provide study tools and account features; provide support; detect abuse or technical faults; secure the service; comply with legal obligations; and, where permitted, display advertising.
We do not use your Google account data for unrelated purposes, and we do not ask Google for access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or Contacts.
3. Service providers and disclosures
Google Firebase is used for authentication and cloud database functionality. Vercel hosts and delivers the website. Google AdSense may be used to serve advertising and may process cookies, IP addresses and other identifiers according to your applicable consent choices.
These providers may process data in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a genuine business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. Cookies, local storage and advertising
The site uses browser storage for functions such as theme preference, local revision progress, authentication/session state and legal-consent preferences. Google services may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security and advertising.
For more detail, read the Cookie Policy. Where Google's Privacy & messaging consent system applies, the footer's Privacy & cookie settings control can reopen those choices after the Google message has been configured and published for this site.
5. Retention
Account and revision-progress records are generally kept while your account remains active and until they are deleted or no longer needed for the purposes described above. Some limited technical or account records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or service integrity.
6. Your choices and rights
Signed-in users can access account privacy controls to download a copy of core account data and request account deletion. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete personal data, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy question by contacting freeonlinerevision@gmail.com.
Your legal rights depend on where you live. We will handle valid requests in accordance with applicable privacy law.
7. Children
Accounts are intended for people aged 13 or older. Do not create an account if you are under 13. If we learn that an under-13 user has provided personal information through an account, a parent or guardian can contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Some study material can be viewed without an account. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users and review their browser and advertising privacy settings.
8. Security
We use established hosting, authentication and database providers and take reasonable steps to limit unauthorized access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should use a strong password and protect access to their account and device.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may be presented again for acknowledgement where appropriate.
